Cifuentes took to social media after signing a new deal, with his assistant also putting pen to paper on an extension.
Queens Park Rangers boss Marti Cifuentes took the opportunity to send a message to supporters on social media after signing a contract extension at Loftus Road.
The R's boss took to X to express his delight after putting pen to paper on this new deal.
The length of this deal is currently undisclosed, but this news is a boost for QPR supporters, who will be happy with some of the progress that they have made under Cifuentes thus far.
He succeeded Gareth Ainsworth, who struggled to stop the R's decline that started during the latter stages of Mick Beale's tenure.
After starting the 2022/23 campaign very well, Beale's reign didn't finish on the best note and the West London side nearly went down at the end of that term, with Neil Critchley and Ainsworth also struggling.
And when the latter struggled during the early stages of last term, Cifuentes replaced him and proved to be a good appointment for the R's.
At this stage, they are currently in 17th place which isn't exactly ideal, but they aren't in the relegation zone at this point and have the opportunity to push on and secure some positive results in the coming weeks.
A quadruple boost last night may go on to help their cause.
Not only did Cifuentes put pen to paper on a new deal, but his assistant Xavi Calm has also signed an extension, as well as key centre-back Jake Clarke-Salter.
Clarke-Salter attracted interest from Wolves during the summer transfer window, so getting him tied down was an important job for QPR.
Karamoko Dembele's permanent move from Brest was also announced last night, with the R's deciding to move for him after seeing him shine at Blackpool on loan last season.
He now looks set to be at Loftus Road for a while - and it will be interesting to see how he develops in the coming months and years.
After Cifuentes signed his new deal, he sent a message to supporters on X, revealing his delight.
The R's head coach posted: "A happy day.
"We continue our journey together in search of new and greater success.
"Thank you all R's!!"
Last night, there were four significant developments at Loftus Road, as mentioned above.
Cifuentes' new deal will provide him with stability - and the fact his assistant Calm has also signed a deal is a plus.
Rumours surrounding Clarke-Salter's future may also be reduced after he put pen to paper on a new deal, which can only be a positive, and Dembele's permanent move is a real positive.
All of these decisions are providing more stability at Loftus Road.
And having endured a tough time in the past couple of years, that stability is required.
The board are making some good decisions and moving quickly - and they have to be credited for their work in recent months.
