ADO Den Haag have announced at least eight players have left the club following their contracts expiring. Add to this that three loan players, Henri Koudossou (FC Augsburg), Justin Ché (Brøndby IF) and Henk Veerman (FC Volendam), are all set to return to their parent clubs and its clear that the side will look differently next season. Veerman will certainly be a big miss, as the veteran forward had grabbed 23 goals for the side during their 2023/2024 campaign.

Dhoraso Klas, Amir Absalem, Daryl Werker, Bart van Hintum, Jerry van Wolfgang, Gylermo Siereveld, Nick Marsman and Mohamed Hamdaoui are the others to have definitely left the side. The side are waiting to see whether they will keep veteran defender Timothy Derijck and Malik Sellouki at the club. The latter scored five goals and grabbed two assists in 23 games this season, while former Zulte Waregem defender made 20 appearances.

ADO Den Haag’s season ended in an embarrassing 7-1 collapse against Excelsior Rotterdam during the promotion play-offs. The side had only been 2-1 down after the first leg at home but were completely blown away in the second. Excelsior met NAC Breda in the final but were beaten in dramatic fashion over two legs.

The two-time Dutch champions have been in the second tier for the past three seasons, having been relegated from the Eredivisie during the 2020/2021 campaign.
