Brentford Under-21s will take on QPR Under-21s in a Professional Development League (PDL) fixture at Wheatsheaf Park on Monday night (7pm kick-off).

Neil MacFarlane’s side will be looking to continue their good recent PDL form, the side coming into Monday's game with back-to-back wins in the league.

The last of those was a strong performance and win against Ipswich Town Under-21s at Portman Road earlier in the week. Speaking on the win, Brentford U21s forward Kyreece Lisbie says the team is showing great character and they plan to continue playing with confidence.

"The coaches have given us massive belief to be able to express ourselves and I think that is so important. I think we are understanding each other better and getting into a fine rhythm," said Lisbie.

“We are back at Wheatsheaf Park and we want to put in a good performance not just for the fans but so that we continue this good run of positive performances.”

The last three games against QPR have seen a mixed bag of results. A loss, a draw and a win respectively as Monday promises to be an exciting affair.

Last time out

A 2-1 win over Ipswich Town secured back-to-back PDL wins last time out, following on from the young Bees' 6-1 win over Charlton Athletic.

Lisbie starred with a goal and an assist against Ipswich, his assist to Iwan Morgan the eventual winner in the second half at Portman Road.

MacFarlane's side fell to a 1-0 defeat to Derby County prior to their win over Ipswich, making it two losses so far in the Premier League Cup.

About QPR U21s

QPR have played ten games so far in the PDL this season and sit one place above Brentford. Despite this, the young Hoops have played three more games than the young Bees.

The west London side have won four games, drawn once and lost five times so far in the league. Their most recent game saw them win 3-2 away from home against Colchester U21s.
