Tottenham have had their fair share of struggles this season, leaving supporters questioning the current direction of the club.
Amidst the turmoil, one familiar name has resurfaced in North London discussions: Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine coach, who led Spurs to some of their most memorable moments in recent history, remains a beloved figure among the club’s supporters.
During a particularly frustrating FA Cup exit against Aston Villa, Tottenham fans voiced their feelings loud and clear.
With the team facing relentless criticism from all sides, Spurs find themselves increasingly backed into a corner.
As chants of their former manager’s name echoed around the stadium, it became evident that the connection between Mauricio Pochettino and the Spurs faithful is far from broken.

Tottenham’s current campaign has been anything but smooth.
With the team sitting in the lower half of the Premier League table and already eliminated from both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, frustration among fans is growing.
Their disappointment reached a boiling point during the Aston Villa clash, where sections of the fanbase expressed their discontent by singing for Mauricio Pochettino—a clear sign of nostalgia for the Argentine’s tenure.
Responding to the chants, Pochettino acknowledged his strong relationship with the Spurs supporters.
The former boss, who left the club in 2019, remains appreciative of the admiration he continues to receive. Speaking via Sportbible on Instagram, he remarked:
“My relationship with Spurs fans, the love is there after 6 years. Tottenham have a great squad, players, fans... The club is amazing.”
Pochettino’s time in North London from 2014 to 2019 saw Tottenham transform into a top-four regular and reach their first-ever Champions League final.
Under his leadership, key players like Harry Kane and Dele Alli flourished, and Spurs played some of their most exciting football in recent memory.
While the nostalgia is understandable, Tottenham’s current struggles cannot be attributed solely to their managerial situation.
Ange Postecoglou has had to deal with a long list of injuries, which has significantly impacted the team’s performances.
Despite these setbacks, the Australian coach remains determined to stabilise the squad.
Although fans may continue to reminisce about the Mauricio Pochettino era, the reality is that Spurs must find a way forward under Ange Postecoglou.
