Maxime Gonalons could return to Ligue 1 this summer

As reported by Le10Sport, former Lyon and Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons is interesting a group of Ligue 1 clubs over a summer return to France.

Now 32, Gonalons’ contract with current club Granada of La Liga expires at the end of next season but, as previously reported, has been mentioned by Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas as a possible summer signing for OL after the French midfielder player 334 games across all competitions in his first spell with the club which ended in 2017.

However, as the outlet report, Clermont are also keen on Gonalons should they be able to stay in France’s top flight this season. Meanwhile, Strasbourg, who are challenging for Europe, are also a potential suitor for the player.
