Borussia Dortmund remain hopeful that Almugera Kabar (18) will sign a contract beyond 2026 but the German youth international has interest from Milan and Barcelona.
Milan’s initial interest was reported by BILD, but it has since been picked up by Gianluca Di Marzio, who further reports that the Italian side will push to sign the left-back this month, although the player’s signing in the summer is more likely.
Kabar would provide competition for Theo Hernandez, who himself has struggled this campaign, but Dortmund have no intention of allowing the German to depart.
The 18-year-old has played three games (46 minutes) in the Bundesliga this season, but Dortmund fully-intend to integrate Kabar into the first team squad on a regular basis over the coming months.
Kabar has been named in Borussia Dortmund’s matchday squad on 10 occasions in the Bundesliga this season, but the player’s debut against Augsburg is one to forget.
Replacing Julian Ryerson in the 68th minute, Kabar picked up his first yellow card just three minutes after his introduction before picking up a second, and subsequently being shown a red card, in stoppage time.
