Milan Eyeing Another Torino Midfielder Besides Ricci

Milan will make another attempt for Samuele Ricci in the summer, with better chances of being successful this time around, but they have recently taken an interest in another Torino midfielder, Cesare Casadei. He has had a big impact since transferring from Chelsea in January.
According to TuttoSport (via OneFootball), the Granata will be open to negotiating the sale of their long-time staple. Instead, the proposals for the talent will quickly be rebuffed unless they are really large. They want to keep him for a while after investing €13M to acquire him in January. The Blues will be owed 20 percent of the fee once he departs. He has been a day-one starter and has scored and assisted once in five showings.
Milan have not been the only ones to notice the performances of Casadei. He’s expected to be part of the Italy squad for the Nations League final four, earning his first call-up in the senior team. Instead, he has accumulated 12 with the U-21 side, hitting the net 3 times.
Ricci dished on the buzz about the two San Siro-based sides to DAZN (via Mediaset).
“It would be pleasing for anybody, but it’s important to concentrate on what you’re doing. If you take too many risks, you might lose focus. I like to play more as a regista than as a box-to-box. My model is Rodri.”
Per Calciomercato, while Milan are unlikely to land Casadei, they are staying in touch with the entourage of Ricci. His price tag is €35/40M now. The Nerazzurri are vigilant, but they’d splurge for a midfielder only if something happened with Hakan Calhanoglu or Davide Frattesi.
