AC Milan Primavera were unsuccessful again today, as the young Rossoneri team failed to beat Monza, making it four successive games without a win.

After the loss last week, Milan Primavera were looking to get themselves back to winning ways, with the side’s last victory coming in the middle of March, just over a month ago now.

Unfortunately, things started rather bleakly this afternoon with Monza actually opening the scoring within the opening 10 minutes. Not much could be done about the goal, which was scored from 20 metres out. Certainly not the start that Guidi will have wanted.

However, the Rossoneri grew into the game, and just minutes later, they were awarded a penalty with Comotto and Scotti combining well. Vincenzo Perrucci stepped up from 12 yards out and made no mistakes, levelling the game.

The first half followed much of the same pattern, with Milan dominating proceedings, having chance after chance, with the Brianza offering little themselves, but there were no changes to the scoreline before the half-time whistle.

After the interval, the Diavolo once again were on top, and had much of the ball, but struggled to do much with it, even if there were a few decent chances from Perrucci and Comotto.

Then, right at the death, Scotti was denied by the post and the earlier goalscorer Perrucci could not connect from the rebound, leaving the scoreline at 1-1. A valiant effort, but a chance missed to gain points you must feel.
