After trading Chicho Arango to San Jose before the 2025 MLS regular season began, Real Salt Lake looks set to add his potential replacement before the primary transfer window closes on Wednesday, per a post from Fabrizio Romano on X/Twitter.

The Claret-and-Cobalt are in the final stages of solidifying a move for Boavista and Slovakia national team forward Robert Bozenik, per Romano, with the 25-year-old set to travel to Utah for a physical as soon as this weekend.

Bozenik has only scored 16 goals in three seasons at Boavista in the Primeira Liga, including only four this campaign for a side deep in a relegation fight. But he's started all but two of his 29 league appearances, with a group that only managed 19 goals as a team in those games.

Bozenik was not a part of the Boavista's squad for the first time this season in Friday's 1-0 win at Farense, further suggesting the move is imminent.

Diego Luna has picked up some of the scoring slack for RSL, scoring three of the Claret-and-Cobalt's eight goals so far.

But adding a more productive center forward would allow Luna to focus more on his natural role as a creator that has helped him earn U.S. men's national team appearances in January and March.

Timbers acquire Omir Fernandez from Colorado

Phil Neville added another piece to his promising squad on Friday with the completion of a trade for versatile attacker Omir Fernandez from the Colorado Rapids, in exchange for $200,000 in allocation money.

Fernandez has played in every Colorado MLS match but exclusively off the bench for Chris Armas' group this season, after making at least 19 starts in each of his previous three MLS campaigns.

Fernandez won't necessarily have an easier route to playing time in Portland, with Antony and David Ayala both in good form. But Portland did part with an international roster spot to help make the deal happen, sending it to Miami in exchange for $270,000 in allocation money in a separate transaction.
