MN: Milan’s record against better teams makes it hard to think positively

AC Milan now have eight games left of the Serie A season, and unfortunately, they will play a lot of teams around them in that timeframe. A real worry for their Champions League hopes.

Losing to Napoli has kickstarted the final run-in in the worst way possible, and unfortunately, if things don’t improve, it will only get much worse, and that’s only from a table perspective.

This weekend’s fixture was seen as a chance to start working towards a more positive future, however, that chance was not taken. Instead, Milan laid down and were well beaten in the early stages, and despite showing signs of something late on, they could not muster a comeback.

Not the way to start this run of games.

Between now and the end of the season, half of the games, as Milan News relays, are against teams above them in the table – something which makes you think there could be a chance of something miraculous happening.

However, the stats do not point that way. As the report continues, the Rossoneri have won just one of their 12 games against these sides, drawing four of them and losing seven times. Under Sergio Conceicao, they have yet to win a game under these parameters.

Certainly not a promising position to be in.
