News has broken today about a more recent meeting between AC Milan and Fabio Paratici, more specifically with Gerry Cardinale.
Calciomercato.com and Radio Rossonera both reported earlier on Tuesday that Cardinale and Paratici spoke over the Easter weekend, on the Monday after the defeat against Atalanta at San Siro the previous night.
Now, MilanNews have provided a further update. For over two months the management have been holding talks and meetings to find the right person, but to date no one has been chosen.
Paratici was the candidate closest to signing with Milan, a verbal agreement had even been reached at the beginning of April, but when it came to closing the deal the operation came to an abrupt halt.
About ten days ago there was a new meeting, by surprise, between RedBird founder Cardinale and the former Juventus man. However, the meeting did not lead to anything of note.
In fact, Paratici is currently oriented to continue his career abroad, specifically at Tottenham. The curious thing is that during the meeting between Cardinale and Paratrici, in the meantime the CEO Giorgio Furlani had held talks with Igli Tare.
The ex-Lazio director is currently on stand-by and still waiting for a call from the AC Milan CEO, who in turn would like to convinced Tony D’amico, who is under contract with Atalanta until 2027.
