AS Monaco will be hoping to return to the summit of Ligue 1 on Sunday, albeit potentially temporarily with PSG playing later in the day, as they travel to Nice for the first Côte d’Azur derby of the season. Les Monégasques were triumphant last time out with a 5-1 victory against Crvena Zvezda.

L’Équipe understands Adi Hütter is set to make two changes to his side that were convincing victors in the UEFA Champions League. One change should be in defence with Caio Henrique dropping to the bench in favour of Kassoum Ouattara.

In attacking midfield, Takumi Minamino is also expected to drop to the bench despite scoring a brace against Red Star last time out. Aleksandr Golovin should take the Japanese international’s starting place. Despite Folarin Balogun’s return to training this week, the former Arsenal striker will still be out and Breel Embolo should keep his place in attack.

Monaco predicted XI vs Nice:

Radosław Majecki – Vanderson, Wilfried Singo, Thilo Kehrer, Kassoum Ouattara – Denis Zakaria, Lamine Camara – Maghnes Akliouche, Aleksandr Golovin, Eliesse Ben Seghir – Breel Embolo.
