Montpellier have this afternoon announced the arrival of two signings ahead of the upcoming transfer window – namely Jordan international winger Mousa Al-Tamari from Leuven, and Swiss youth international defender Bećir Omeragić from Zurich.
Al-Tamari has been playing for the Flemish outfit for the past three campaigns, and has found the net six times this season, on top of his four assists. Previously, he had a two-season spell at APOEL Nicosia, after leaving his home league. The 25-year-old has over half a century of caps for his country.
The 21-year-old Omeragić, meanwhile, has been with Zurich for the entirety of his career, having left his native Geneva before turning professional. This season, he has 19 appearances in the Swiss league, having also been a regular starter in the previous three campaigns.
Now 12th in Ligue 1, Montpellier have secured their top-flight status for next season following the upturn in form that followed the return of Michel Der Zakarian as manager. A win against Lorient this weekend will mathematically confirm their safety.
