Germany kick off their U21 Euros with a match against Israel, but it’s not quite gone to plan for the reigning champions.
One of the Bundesliga’s brightest talents, Youssoufa Moukoko, had a brilliant chance to shine on the international stage but missed a glorious opportunity.

Kevin Schade won a penalty after less than two minutes of action, and the Borussia Dortmund star’s weak shot didn’t get enough power on it.
Israel’s Dor David Turgeman eventually grabbed the lead against the run of play, but it wouldn’t last long as Yann Aurel Bisseck levelled things up to save Moukoko’s blushes.
