Speaking in an interview with The Athletic former Olympique Lyonnais head coach Pierre Sage is already aiming at his next job, and he says he ‘dreams’ of working in England. Sage admits that the Premier League and the EFL Championship are on his mind in terms of the destination for his second club.“I’m now ready for a new project,” said Sage. “I want to begin next season either in France or elsewhere in Europe, ideally in the big five (leagues). My dream is to work in England because I think it’s the best country and the best league, the Championship is a good league too.”Sage was sacked from Lyon after string of several defeats left Les Gones sixth in the league, with owner John Textor justifying the move as a way of reaching the Champions League next season. The American then brought in Paulo Fonseca, who was recently sacked from AC Milan. “My second job will perhaps be the most important,” added Sage after being sacked from the club burst onto the managerial scene with. “I think it was Jose Mourinho who said you become a coach when you are fired the first time.”GFFN | George Boxall
