Giovanni Manna insists Allan Saint-Maximin is still not a Napoli player and confirms interest in Pietro Comuzzo: ‘He has potential.’
The Partenopei visit Roma at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.
They have sold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this month but haven’t yet found a replacement.
They’ve been in talks with Alejandro Garnacho for several weeks, but Fenerbahce’s Saint-Maximin now seems to be the closest target.
“We lost a great player. January is always difficult, and we did what we could within our capabilities,” Manna told DAZN via TMW.

“Saint-Maximin is not our player; we’ll see what happens.”
The French winger could join Napoli on loan, allowing the Partenopei to make a relatively big investment in Fiorentina centre-back Comuzzo.
“Certainly, this has been a complicated transfer window for us because we had to part company from one of our best players,” Manna continued.
“We are working on it. Comuzzo is a player with great potential who interests us, but we don’t want to go beyond our parameters. We know it’s complicated, but we’ll try our best.”
The Partenopei can stretch their lead at the top of the table as their direct rivals, Inter, were held to a 1-1 draw by city rivals Milan.
“We need to stay focused and think only about ourselves,” said Manna.
“We must prove we are a team with appropriate qualities and personality. We need to stay calm and not focus on others.. Whether we play before or after them doesn’t matter; tonight’s match is the only thing that matters.”
