Napoli Want to Sign Another Manchester United Star

Napoli boss Antonio Conte has quickly pinpointed his preferred option to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia once he heads to PSG: Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho. The Partenopei are highly satisfied with Scott McTominay and will try to sign another player from the Red Devils, Sportitalia reports.

The Argentine returned to prominence during the recent FA Cup tilt versus Arsenal. He drew the start after not playing much in the first few matches under Ruben Amorim and provided an assist. He has scored 4 times in 25 seasonal appearances. He’s been in England since 2020 and has eight caps with Argentina.

Napoli plot to offer €45M plus add-ons for Garnacho thanks to the likely incoming cash infusion, but Manchester United’s stance remains to be determined. According to Corriere dello Sport, he has a €60/65M price tag, but there’s room to negotiate. The Red Devils could cash in on some youth products to pave the way for some investments to comply with their new gaffer’s requests and the FSR rules.

The Partenopei also covet Dan Ndoye. He’s a lot less expensive, as his valuation is about €25M. However, Bologna don’t want to lose him in January. The Azzurri could tender Cyril Ngonge, who hasn’t found much room this season. The Felsinei rebuffed them, but there are a few more weeks to negotiate.

Our Take on Napoli and Garnacho

Can’t fault them for trying, and teams, including them, have feasted on Manchester United outcasts, but the Red Devils might not want to part ways with both him and Marcus Rashford, and the latter seems a lot more likely to depart. They already have a great replacement, David Neres, so they can take their time to find one or two more wingers.
