Néstor Araujo will be available for América against Liga MX leaders Toluca in midweek after the centre-back trained normally on Monday.
RÉCORD reports that the 30-year-old Mexico international was able to take a full part in the Azulcrema’s session.
That was despite being forced off in the 57th minute of his debut on Saturday as Las Águilas fell 3-2 away to Monterrey.
It was perhaps no coincidence that the visitors were leading 2-1 before Araujo had to leave the pitch in visible discomfort.
Therefore, it will come as a big relief to América fans that one of their three big summer signings seems fit and ready to go for Wednesday’s clash with the early Apertura pacesetters.
