New twist in Shankland to Rangers saga amid ‘no contact’ | OneFootball

Rangers may now never get their dream of saying Lawrence shankland after 13 days into the transfer window the Scotland striker remains at hearts.

Word is reaching us that the former Dundee United hitman is of interest to Turkish clubs as he enters the last six months of his contract and his own dream and deed of joining Rangers appears to evaporate further.

The Shankland joining Rangers saga has been going on for seasons now and it does seem to appear following CEO Patrick Stewart confirming few January arrivals that the boyhood Rangers fan is unlikely to be one of them.

The striker is aware that he is reaching the twilight of his career and his last big chance for a big payday being only on £3000 a week at Tynecastle and he had hoped that that would be at Rangers.

But free to speak to clubs there appears to be no contact between he and Rangers and as the Turkish clubs move in it appears ever more unlikely that Shankland and some Rangers fans will get their dream of his move to Govan.

But still, anything can still happen in the transfer window so we will see what happens.
