West Ham are not in the race to sign Jonathan David next summer, it has been reported.

The prolific front man, who currently plies his trade at French club Lille, is likely to make a big transfer in the upcoming transfer window.

However, despite West Ham being linked with a possible move for the striker for a number of years, its now likely he’ll be moving on to an elite club, with the cockney boys appearing to have missed out on our chance.

According to Gonzo, who was reporting on Claret & Hugh, David is being lined up for a big money move to Spanish giants Barcelona.

“Some of the biggest clubs in Europe are sniffing around him,” stated the insider. “He has had multiple offers and can choose from some of the biggest clubs.

“Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, PSG, both Milan clubs, Juventus, and Dortmund have all been in touch, so West Ham have no chance. The player will likely move to Barcelona.”
