No matter what Manchester City must pick up three points against Everton | OneFootball

Manchester City take on Everton tomorrow at the Etihad Stadium. It is another big Premier League fixture for Pep Guardiola’s side as the festive season fixtures kick in. At this point, each game is becoming a must-win game for the Premier League champions. Not in the context of chasing down a fifth consecutive Premier League title but more so from the point of view of City getting out of their rotten run of recent form.

It is well documented by now that Pep Guardiola’s side has only won one of their past twelve games in all competitions. That would be a poor run of form for any team. But cause it’s been Manchester City who have suffered from such a wretched run makes it a bigger story. Due to that fact, it makes tomorrow’s match another big game for the Premier League champions.

Sean Dyche’s side currently sits 15th in the Premier League table. They began the season poorly but have begun to find their feet in recent weeks. Everton are always a tough nut to crack for Pep Guardiola’s side. Typically they always give Manchester City are tough contest. That will likely be the case again especially under the current circumstances.

But despite all of this Pep Guardiola’s side must pick up all three points tomorrow. They can’t allow their poor run of form to carry on any longer. It doesn’t matter how they pick up a win they simply just have to. If they somewhat fix some of the current issues plaguing their play it may go a long way to seeing Manchester City pick up a much-needed win.
