To Brentford fans, Nour Aboul Kheir is best known for her exploits in Karleigh Osborne’s midfield come Sunday afternoons.

During the week, however, Aboul Kheir plies her trade working with some of football’s biggest names.

The 23-year-old has worked at New Era Global Sports as a social media executive since February last year with her co-workers including the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Fara Williams.

“I like it most of all because I get to work with a lot of different people like Rio Ferdinand and Fara Williams and also all the guests that they bring on to their shows,” explained Aboul Kheir.

“I’ll also get to go on shoots and meet other people. With Fara, I go with her to shoots for her podcast Boots, Balls and Bras and I’ll meet people like Lauren James, Beth Mead and Lucy Bronze.

“I like it because I get to bring Rio and Fara’s brand to life through social media, whether that’s filming stuff behind the scenes for their shoots or making graphics to promote their episodes that are coming out.

“I like that I work in a range of sectors, so not only am I working in the media world but also heavily involved in the athlete world and bringing players’ and coaches’ image to life on social media.”

Outside of work, Aboul Kheir joins her team-mates in Brentford colours, the midfielder playing a key role this season as the Bees search for promotion in the London South East Division One North.

In her second season in west London, the midfielder has cemented her place in Osborne's matchday squad, providing valuable minutes across the campaign so far.

“This season, we’re really focused on getting that promotion and I don’t see any reason why we won’t,” Aboul Kheir continued.

“We have so many strong players in our squad and being a regular means so much to me because I’m constantly being challenged for that spot.

“I’ve been at Brentford for a season and a half and I’m really thankful for my team-mates and the staff that have pushed me to be a better player on the pitch as well as a better person off the pitch.”

Last time out, Aboul Kheir played 120 minutes as Brentford fought off a gallant Saltdean United outfit in extra-time to progress in the League Cup.

A last-minute Nikki Woods’ goal grabbed the win for the Bees over the tier-five side, setting up a quarter-final tie at Fulham on Sunday.

Kick-off is scheduled for 2.30pm at Motspur Park, with tickets available here.
