BBC Sport pundit Troy Deeney included Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui in his Team of the Week following the player’s superb display against Manchester City on Sunday.
United and City both had to settle for a share of the points after they played out a goalless draw at Old Trafford.
The result left Ruben Amorim’s men languishing in 13th place in the Premier League table with just 38 points gained after playing 31 matches.
Yet again, Mazraoui started as the right-sided centre-back of Amorim’s three-man defence system. He played the entire 90 minutes and didn’t disappoint.
Mazaraoui made four clearances, two interceptions and put in four tackles.
The Morocco international also won five of the six ground duels he delved into and successfully delivered 40 of the 46 passes he attempted.

It was an accomplished performance from the former Bayern Munich man, who is proving to be one of United’s most consistent performers despite the team enduring a wretched season.
Deeney named Mazraoui in his Team of the Week, which included two other defenders – Calvin Bassey (Fulham) and Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace).
Other members of BBC’s Team of the Week are Mark Flekken (Brentford), Youri Tielemans (Aston Villa), Joao Gomes (Wolves), Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa), Jacob Murphy (Newcastle), Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham), Evanilson (Bournemouth) and Jorgen Strand Larsen (Wolves).
On why he picked Mazraoui, Deeney wrote, ” Becoming Manchester United’s most consistent defender.”
“Goes under the radar but makes a lot of last-ditch tackles – the one he made on Phil Foden kept them in the game.”
Mazraoui and United are back in action on Thursday when they go away to Lyon or the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash.
