FC Barcelona had a special guest in attendance to watch them dismantle Serbian side Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League League Phase. It was a performance to remember for Hansi Flick’s side, and tennis legend Novak Djokovic was privileged to witness it.

The Catalan club won 5-2 on the night, with a brace from Robert Lewandowski and goals from Iñigo Martínez, Raphinha, and Fermin López. Flick’s side played some mesmerizing football that enthralled fans, and Djokovic was no exception.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Djokovic was amazed by the football on display from Flick’s men. The tennis legend was particularly impressed by the performance of Lamine Yamal on the night.

The 17-year-old Spanish prodigy didn’t score or assist on the night but was arguably the best player on the pitch. Some of his passes were incredible, and in all fairness, he was let down by some not-so-clinical finishing.

It’s unclear whether Djokovic was a Barcelona or Yamal fan before last night, but it’s safe to say that after that performance, he would be a huge fan of the team. The Serbian is a serial winner in his own sport and will surely recognize talent when he sees it.

The Serbian tennis player was also treated to a spectacle of goals. Raphinha’s goal, in particular, after a sublime assist from Jules Koundé, must have been amazing to watch. The Frenchman went on to register three assists on the night.

Get ready to see Djokovic at the Barcelona games, I guess! Joking aside, it was a solid display from one of the best teams in Europe this season. Let’s hope they can carry the same form to Reale Arena this weekend.
