AS Monaco midfielder Eliot Matazo (21) has joined Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp on loan until the end of the season. There is no option to make the move permanent included in the deal.
Having done their business early in the window, securing the arrival of Thilo Kehrer on loan from West Ham United, the final days of the window have been about trimming the size of the squad. It has been a busy deadline day at the Principality club. It began with Chrislain Matsima joining Clermont Foot on loan. Antonin Cartillier then went out on loan to Stade Brestois, Florian Baranik to AS Cannes, and then Myron Boadu to FC Twente. Neither of the aforementioned loan deals includes an option to make the move permanent.
There was time for one final move on deadline day. Matazo, who is currently sidelined with an adductor injury, has joined Antwerp on loan until the end of the season. The Belgian side will pay €250,000 for the loan, in a deal that does not include a permanent option, Get French Football News understands. With the Belgian U21 international’s departure confirmed, Monaco’s transfer window is concluded.
