Official | Caleb Wiley joins Strasbourg on loan from Chelsea

RC Strasbourg Alsace have officially confirmed the arrival of Caleb Wiley (19) on loan from Chelsea for the 2024/25 season.

Wiley only joined Chelsea this summer from Atlanta United. However, it had been widely reported that part of his agreement to leave his formative club for the Premier League giants was with an eye on the future and that his development (at least) in the short term would be served in France.

Strasbourg since being bought by BlueCo (who also own Chelsea) in 2023 have become a club willing to foster Chelsea’s young talent and provide them with extensive game time. Last season this saw Ângelo Gabriel (19) and Andrey Santos (20) benefit from the new relationship between the two clubs.

Wiley arrives at Strasbourg with a similar hope but also brings a certain prestige. The left-back is considered an exceptional talent and has become a US international and an Olympian during his short career.
