The latest installation on the bench at Spanish outfit Cádiz has on Saturday been confirmed.
As much, of course, comes fresh off Mauricio Pellegrino’s short-lived stint on Cádiz’s books coming to an end earlier this week.
After coming up short in his efforts to guide Los Amarillos to La Liga safety following his January arrival, Argentine Pellegrino opted to seek out pastures new.
And the brass at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla have wasted little time in sourcing his replacement.
As confirmed across Cádiz’s website and social media platforms on Saturday evening, Paco López has been appointed the club’s new head coach:
‘The Cádiz Football Club has reached an agreement with Paco López Fernández to be the new coach of the Cádiz first team.’
Experienced tactician López, for his part, most recently took charge of Granada, but was dismissed in November of last year owing to an underwhelming start to the campaign.
Cádiz will be hoping for much better, in efforts to secure a swift return to the top tier of Spanish football.
