Official | Renato Sanches joins Benfica on loan from PSG with an option to buy | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed in an official announcement that Renato Sanches (26) has completed a loan move to join his former club SL Benfica. The Portuguese international’s loan move also includes an optional purchase clause which could be activated.

The former Swansea City loanee has previously played for the Portuguese giants. A Benfica academy graduate, Sanches played 35 appearances for the Primera Liga club between 2015 and 2016. The 26-year-old scored 2 goals during his first spell at his boyhood club.

More recently, Sanches spent last season on loan at Roma. The midfielder’s spell at the Italian capital club did not go as he had planned. The PSG midfielder only made 12 appearances at the Roman club and only scored one goal during his time in Serie A.
