Franck Haise has confirmed that OGC Nice will have to do without key midfielder Hicham Boudaoui (24) for over a month, however, he may be able to count on the returning Sofiane Diop when Le Gym face Olympique de Marseille at the Vélodrome on Saturday.

Boudaoui was injured during Nice’s 4-1 victory over SCO Angers just before the international break. Despite playing through the injury, sustained towards the end of the first half, the club communicated a sprain to the ligament in his left knee following the match. At a press conference, attended by Get French Football News, Haise confirmed that Boudaoui would not be fit until after the next international break, at the earliest.

However, in better news for Nice, Sofiane Diop (24) could be included in the group to face Marseille. The former AS Monaco forward has endured a torrid, injury-stricken 12 months, limiting his game time severely. As a result, Haise said that they would have to “be patient” with him. Tom Louchet, also returning from injury, could make the trip to the Vélodrome.
