Paredes nears new Roma contract | OneFootball

Leandro Paredes is very close to extending his stay in the Italian capital.

The club has in fact reached a basic agreement with Paredes and his entourage to extend the contract beyond the expiry date set for June 30, 2024.

The Argentine, who returned to the capital from Paris Saint-Germain for 3.6 million euros (with 30% of the difference on the future resale due to the French), already had in his agreement an automatic renewal option based on individual and team objectives, such as seasonal appearances and qualification for the Champions League or Europa League.

However, Roma decided to anticipate the times and secure him before the end of the season, demonstrating their belief in his value and leadership.

His renewal was put on the agenda immediately after Pisilli’s, writes Il Tempo, confirming the club’s desire to plan for the future with solid foundations.

For Paredes, therefore, the possibility of a return to Argentina, to Boca Juniors, is destined to remain on hold: his present and future are still colored in yellow and red.
