The goal you’re about to see isn’t just brilliant, it’s extraordinary.
Last week, Cristóbal Colón midfielder Mario Ricardo scored what can only be described as a golazo against Cerro Porteño in the Copa Paraguay.
But what makes this goal extra special is that Ricardo only has vision in one of his eyes after he was involved in a road traffic accident as a child.
This obstacle wasn’t enough to prevent him pursuing his dream of becoming a professional footballer, and even most of us with perfect 20:20 vision couldn’t dare to imagine hitting a ball as sweetly as that.
“The ball came to me and I didn’t hesitate to hit it,” Ricardo told reporters after the game.
Bravo.
