“The team was motivated today, at the end of the first half we left the locker room early because we wanted to take to the field to win the match and I think it showed.”

“It’s important to have this type of mentality consistently,” he continued. “Today, even at the end of the first half, I wasn’t scared of the final result. I had this perception of the group, of the team, I knew that things would go well. Of course, you can be lucky or unlucky, but you know that sooner or later things go well. Today it went like this and we have to work to maintain this mentality always, in all the matches, at home and away.”

“I had to take the penalties, but I felt like leaving the second one to Artem because he had taken the ball and I saw that he was very motivated, he wanted to take it and score.”

“He was working hard for the team and this is very important for us, fundamental, so I think it’s a small gesture to make him feel that we are happy with all the work he does for us and to thank him by letting him score, also because I was sure he would do it, I could see it in his face.”
