Images of the special edition jersey set to be worn by La Liga giants Barcelona in the club’s upcoming showdown with arch rivals Real Madrid have on Wednesday come to the fore online.

The pictures in question come courtesy of the reliable ‘fcbarcelonacollection’ on ‘X’.

And they confirm previous reports that Barcelona will be collaborating with another of the leading musical acts on the planet.

The band in question come in the form of Coldplay.

The understanding is that Barca’s traditional kit for the upcoming El Clásico, on October 26th, will see Coldplay’s logo emblazoned across the shirt’s front:

This initiative on the part of the Camp Nou brass comes as part of their partnership with Spotify, the club’s usual shirt-front sponsor.

This past April, en route to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid, the Blaugrana’s jersey also featured a specialised logo for a musical artist, in the form of Colombian singer Karol G.
