Benoit Badiashile is among the list of centre backs being monitored by Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli according to reports.

Badiashile was one of a number of signings which arrived at Stamford Bridge in January 2023 as the Blues paid Monaco £35m for his services.

The 23-year-old slipped seamlessly into Graham Potter’s struggling side and looked like he’d been playing in the Premier League for years as he put in a series of impressive performances.

Unfortunately the Frenchman suffered an injury towards the end of the 2022/2023 which sidelined him for a number of months and massively halted his progress.

Badiashile struggled to get back in the side last season when he returned to fitness, and when he did get given opportunities he made a number of costly individual errors.

It’s fair to say the former Monaco man hasn’t looked anything like the player he was in his first six months at the club and he now finds himself down the pecking order.

Badiashile has made one Premier League appearance this season.

Badiashile has made just one appearance in the Premier League this season and that came as a second half substitute against Liverpool.

The bulk of his minutes have come in the cup competitions where he’s put in decent displays, but his lack of first team action has seen him linked with a return to France.

However, with the January transfer window fast approaching rumours about Badiashile’s future have started to surface again, even though Chelsea recently insisted the defender wasn’t for sale and was seen as part of the project moving forward.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport Badiashile is among the centre backs being monitored by Juventus with the Italian club hoping to add another defender to the ranks after Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal both suffered ACL injuries.

The former Monaco man recently said he wanted to stay at Chelsea and vowed to do his best to be a success at Stamford Bridge, but if an offer came in that tested the club’s resolve it would be interesting to see what the Blues would do and whether Badiashile would fancy the move.
