Juventus

Di Gregorio 6 – After Jonathan David’s opener, which Di Gregorio could not do much about when left one-on-one like that,

Cambiaso 6 – Got forwards and involved in attacking plays a few times when Juventus were on top, but not the most impactful performance from Juventus’s versatile full-back.

Gatti 5.5 – Not an enormous amount of defensive work to do in the second half, but there were quite a few overhit long-balls.

Kalulu 5 – A really poor piece of defending for Lille’s opener. You can’t afford slips like that at this level and David punished him and Juventus immediately.

Cabal 5.5 – Provided Juve with some natural width, which allowed Kenan Yildiz to come inside. Was caught out high up the pitch for David’s opener and was then out of possession when the Canadian broke one-on-one with Di Gregorio on Juve’s left.

Locatelli 6.5 – Juve’s deepest-lying midfielder quietly did his job without any noticeable errors. Tried to direct play from the back when Juventus were on top and ended the night with a 92% pass completion rate.

Thuram 6 – One of Juventus’s brighter performers in the first half. Perhaps could have done a bit better with some of his plays within the opposition penalty area.

Conceicao 7 – Was involved in all of the attacking moves when Juventus were on top for the opening portion of the second half. Troubled Chevalier with a wicked cross and then won the penalty after some tidy dribbling. Bright again.

Koopmeiners 5.5 – Unfortunate to have had two first-half goals ruled out for offside, neither of which he was at fault for. Never quite looked at his sharpest after that, but perhaps still finding his feet after his recent injury lay-off.

Yildiz 6.5 – A very competent dribbler: He wasn’t dispossessed once when he got on the ball. A brief spell up front again when Dusan Vlahovic went off. Not as involved as some of his colleagues in the opposition penalty area.

Vlahovic 7 – Like always, came alive in the penalty area, but not massively involved anywhere else on the pitch. Had a very decent effort denied by a world-class Lucas Chevalier save in the first half. Very composed from the penalty spot.

Lille

Chevalier 7.5, Mandi 6, Diakité 6.5, Alexsandro 6, Gudmundsson 6; Bouaddi 6.5, André 6; Zhegrova 7, Gomes 5.5, Sahraoui 6; David 7.
