Leeds United will face another side from the top six for the third consecutive game as they take on West Bromwich Albion in the Championship at Elland Road on Saturday.

The Whites have secured two massive wins against Sunderland and Sheffield United in their previous two games, and as a result, they have taken a healthy five-point lead at the top of the Championship table.

They can further extend their lead (provided other results go in their favour) with a win against the Baggies, who are fifth in the league but have struggled for consistency.

West Brom are one of the contenders to go into the play-offs, but they have picked up only four wins in their last ten league games.

Leeds United team news and predicted line-up

Ahead of the match, Daniel Farke confirmed that he does not have any fresh injury issues at the moment.

However, the Whites could be without their inspirational skipper Ethan Ampadu for the next four or five weeks. Leeds opted against doing surgery, and the club want to take the more conventional route to cure his knee problems.

Patrick Bamford is another player who is currently out injured, and Farke has refused to put a timeline on when he can rejoin.

Farke has limited options in centre-back areas, which means the likes of Pascal Struijk and Joe Rodon will continue at the back.

Ilan Meslier is set to continue in goal despite his blunder against the Blades.

Leeds have not dropped a point since the first week of December at Elland Road, and they are expected to dominate the midfield. Farke could be tempted to drop Ilia Gruev, 24, and start with Joe Rothwell instead.

Wilfried Gnonto looked lively when he came on for Manor Solomon towards the closing stages of the game. Gnonto could start against the Baggies, with Solomon getting some rest.
