According to Fichajes, Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea are both keen on signing Barcelona’s talented midfielder Marc Casado, so much so that they are preparing offers ranging between €35 million and €40 million for the 21-year-old.
Casado, who enjoyed a solid start to the ongoing campaign, has seen his role within the team diminish under Hansi Flick following the return of Frenkie de Jong.
The Dutch midfielder has quickly regained the German coach’s trust, pushing Casado further down the pecking order.
With his contract running until 2028, the midfielder was once seen as one of the club’s most promising prospects.
However, the shift in his status at the club has sparked growing uncertainty about his future, which has opened the door for interest from English clubs.
The outlet mentions that for Arsenal, Casado is seen as a potential solution to the club’s midfield conundrum.
With Jorginho and Thomas Partey both set to leave at the end of the season, Mikel Arteta is reportedly keen on bringing in fresh talent to reinforce the midfield.

Casado’s skill set—combining technical ability with a strong work rate—makes him an appealing option to help fill the gap left by these departing players.
Arteta believes the Spaniard could offer both youth and quality to ensure a seamless transition for the Gunners in the coming seasons.
On the other hand, Chelsea view Casado as an important piece for both the present and future of their midfield.
Given their recent overhaul of the squad, the Blues are eager to bolster their midfield options, and Casado could offer the perfect balance.
A potential partnership with Moises Caicedo could help Chelsea establish a strong midfield duo for the years ahead.
For now, Barcelona have reportedly shown no intention of negotiating his sale , especially with his contract lasting until 2028.
The club appears keen on retaining the young midfielder despite his reduced role under Flick.
However, if offers in the region of €35-40 million materialize in the summer transfer window, Barcelona’s management could reconsider their stance and possibly entertain discussions about his future.
