Leeds United travel away from home to Derby County in a final match of 2024, as the Whites look to end the year on a high.
Daniel Farke’s side will head to Pride Park for the 5:45pm kick-off, aiming to back-to-back victories away from home, following the Boxing Day success over Stoke City.
Against the Potters, a hard-fought match in tough conditions saw the three points come back to West Yorkshire, following a goal in each half from top-scorer Joel Piroe, in front of nearly 3,400 travelling fans.
That success moved Leeds to the top of the Sky Bet Championship table, above Sheffield United on goal-difference.
Highlights from our win at Stoke City:
The Rams will also want to end the year on a high, in what has been a memorable 12 months in the East Midlands.
Paul Warne secured promotion from Sky Bet League One at his first attempt after finishing second in the table, and has now overseen a steady start to life back in the second tier.
Derby also come into the game having won on Boxing Day, defeating West Bromwich Albion at Pride Park with a 2-1 scoreline.
The two teams met recently at Elland Road at the start of December. On that occasion, Farke’s side secured the points with a 2-0 win, after first half goals from Joe Rodon and Max Wober.
Depending on results elsewhere on Sunday, Derby could move as high as 10th in the league table with a win. For Leeds, a win would see them retain top-spot in the standings.
