PSG and Napoli have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23) on the basis of a €70m transfer fee, according to L’Equipe. Both clubs were convened for a round of talks this Monday and all parties were confident a deal could be sorted to seal Kvaratskhelia’s switch to the Ligue 1 champions. The Georgia international winger previously agreed personal terms with Les Parisiens, with which he is expected to sign a four-and-a-half-year deal.
Only minor financial details still need sorting out between PSG and Napoli as I Partenopei are yet to allow Kvaratskhelia to undergo a medical with PSG, but L’Equipe understands it’s only a matter of time. The outlet understands that Napoli waited for PSG to meet their asking price to part ways with Kvaratskhelia, who was still under contract until 2027.
It is expected that, with performance-related add-ons taken into account, PSG’s outlay to sign Kvaratskhelia could go near the €80m mark. Le Parisien adds that the amount and the payment structures of the bonuses would be worked through on Tuesday with both PSG and Napoli confident Kvaratskhelia’s signing to PSG will go ahead.
