Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, now in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, has made headlines once again—this time for openly expressing his enduring love for Barça and confidently backing them to thrash Real Madrid in El Clasico.
Speaking after guiding PSG to the Champions League final with an emphatic performance midweek, Enrique did not shy away from showing his Blaugrana roots.
“My love for Barça will never disappear. I have a past that I’m very proud of,” he declared, leaving no doubt about where his loyalties lie despite his current role in Paris.
Asked about the outcome of today’s El Clasico, Enrique made a bold prediction: “It will be a 3-0 for Barcelona, easy.”
The former Spain boss, who also led Barcelona to treble glory in 2015, has always kept a close eye on the club that shaped much of his managerial legacy—and he clearly believes that Hansi Flick’s side are more than capable of dominating Los Blancos.

Interestingly, Enrique admitted he felt a sense of relief when Barcelona were eliminated from the Champions League. “For me, playing in a Champions League final against Barça would have been the worst. The worst,” he confessed.
“If we hadn’t been there, I would have loved for Barça to have been there and won.”
Meanwhile, PSG’s success without Kylian Mbappe has sparked criticism, especially with the French forward moving to Real Madrid last summer.
As Enrique’s side stormed into the final without their former talisman, Mbappe posted a sponsored social media update showing himself relaxing with music—an act that triggered a wave of backlash from PSG fans.
Supporters wasted no time mocking the departing star, flooding the post with comments like “PSG reached the final without you. It must hurt,” and “Thank you for leaving PSG, you were the problem.”
With El Clasico looming and emotions already running high, Enrique’s remarks serve as a morale boost for Barcelona.
