Paris Saint-Germain have provided a medical update ahead of their Coupe de France quarter-final against OGC Nice, and have confirmed that Marquinhos (29) will not be available until after the international break.
The centre-back was suspected to be unavailable for this game after missing Les Parisiens’ last four fixtures against AS Monaco, Stade Rennais, Stade de Reims, and Real Sociedad.
The Brazilian had struggled to complete training for the past few weeks and while his return was expedited for the Champions League tie against Real Sociedad he did not make an appearance from the bench.
Marquinhos will undergo treatment on his Achilles tendon and the hope for PSG will be that he will be able to return for the Le Classique against Olympique de Marseille on the 31st of March.
Elsewhere Marco Asensio (28) will continue his recovery after picking up a hamstring injury in the 0-0 draw against Monaco, while Milan Škriniar (29) will continue to carry out individual rehab exercises on the pitch.
There have been no further updates on Presnel Kimpembe (29) who continues his recovery.
