Manchester United defeated Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening, extending their unbeaten run to four games across all competitions.

United have now won their last four league meetings against the Foxes, scoring 10 goals and conceding none.

The victory moves the Red Devils to 13th place, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, who lost to London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage earlier on Sunday.

Pundit Frank Leboeuf praised young centre-back Ayden Heaven and midfielder Bruno Fernandes for their performances.

He told ESPN FC: “I am very sad for Ayden Heaven because he was very good before his injury. He was very committed when he played against his former club last week.

“We knew many players were injured, so it was good to see him step up, but it was very sad that he got injured.

“Bruno Fernandes was outstanding. One goal, two assists – he was really a masterpiece in the middle of the park and for the players.”

Fernandes provided two assists in the match, becoming the sixth United player to register 50 assists in the Premier League, according to OptaJoe.

Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, Eric Cantona and Paul Scholes are the others who have reached this milestone.

It was a brilliant week for Fernandes, who delivered a magnificent performance on Thursday to help United advance to the Europa League quarter-finals at Real Sociedad’s expense.

Heaven has also been impressive since making his debut against Arsenal. He walked out of the stadium, easing concerns about a long-term injury.

The English defender joins United’s growing list of absentees. Manager Ruben Amorim will hope no other players pick up injuries during the international break.

United have little left to play for in the league but must win the Europa League to salvage their season – and they need a healthy squad to do so.
