Quilindschy Hartman turned out for Feyenoord’s U21s at the Varkenoord training centre, receiving his first minutes in nine months following rehabilitation from his cruciate ligament injury.
As the 1908.nl site reported, the left-back saw 40 minutes of action against a reshuffled Jong AZ side – following their Keuken Kampioen Divisie match against Jong Ajax yesterday. Brian Priske, Calvin Stengs, Gjivai Zechiël, Thomas Beelen, Quinten Timber and Zepiqueno Redmond were all among the spectators watching the 23-year-old with great interest.
Initial reports in the Algemeen Dagblad stated Hartman would only play half an hour. However, he exceeded expectations as he left the field at 1-0 as Feyenoord led thanks to an Aymen Sliti goal.
While performance-wise, Hartman still has work to do regaining match fitness, it was noted that in a quiet formative outing – his brief overlaps were noticeable. That said, with the player set to return to Brain Priske’s selection in early February, there shouldn’t be too much pressure as his return is closely monitored.
