Rangers fans offer their verdict on Ryan Kent returning | OneFootball

As Rangers fans now know, former Ibrox winger Ryan Kent is a free agent having had his contract terminated by mutual consent at Fenerbahce.

What this means is they paid him off to clear off.

That move really didn’t work out for anyone.

But of course now the natural talk is his return to Rangers, with Rangers suffering a lack of quality left wingers and a few too many injuries.

Oscar Cortes is confirmed out for ‘longer term’ and that leaves only Nedim Bajrami as occupying the left flank.

So naturally Ibrox Noise asked the question of our readers – did we want Ryan Kent back?

The result was extremely divided – 56% said yes, and 44% were against the idea. Vote sample 1100 and counting.

It’s a tough one – the boy was chased out of Rangers with a cleaver in the end, and the speculation over his (potential) new contract went on far far too long, while his actual ‘leaving do’ wasn’t exactly held in much esteem after he appeared dressed as Brian Harvey.

But as Ibrox Noise has said many times, his numbers were a fair bit better than Ianis Hagi and many Rangers supporters seem to think the Romanian is the bee’s knees.

Kent? He shone against Celtic many times, even if some fans have revised history a bit, and he outshone Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham in his Dortmund days.

His spell in Turkey was a fail for sure, a terrible move and one surely only inspired by money.

Take him back?

Well, he’d have to want to return first and we don’t actually think he does.
