Ranieri explains his team selection vs Napoli | OneFootball

Roma boss Claudio Ranieri discussed his team selection for the night a few minutes prior to kick-off with Napoli.

In his pre-match interview with DAZN, Ranieri said, “We have changed a lot since the last time we played Napoli.”

“I know the players better and I know what they can give me, they know my ideas better.”

“Still, there is a lot of work to do. Napoli has grown a lot, it is almost a perfect machine, it ‘only’ has 23 points more than us and it has only rested all week and we played on Thursday.”

“But we can play with confidence, I made six changes to keep up with this Napoli who are doing really well.”

“Napoli are red hot, out of 37 goals they scored 18 goals in the last half hour. They are a team that knows what they want and how to get it, they are well led.”

“We will play our game without fear, trying to do what we know how to do without ifs and buts. If they win they will have been good but first they have to prove it to us on the pitch.”
