Ranieri on Saelemaekers’ absence vs Juventus: “Whoever plays in his place will have a great game.”

Roma manager Claudio Ranieri took issue with Alexis Saelemaekers unnecessary yellow card in the match against Lecce.

The Belgian winger will in fact face a one-match suspension which will rule him out against Juventus.

After the win in Salento, Ranieri spoke to the media about Saelemaekers’ absence vs Juve.

“He was very sorry that it happened,” said Ranieri. “I would always like to have everyone available, his absence will be felt, but whoever plays in his place will play a great match.”

“Game after game, now we think about the next one with Juventus. We are doing well. But Juventus have just changed coach and will be motivated, we will try to do our best in front of our fans.”
