Like the Champions League and Europa League, the competition takes on a new format in 2024/25 and ahead of the league phase we’ve looked at the bookmakers’ favourites to win the trophy.

For those interested in soccer bets and the latest European football odds, we’ve ranked the five favourites to win the 2024/25 Europa Conference League.

Ranking the favourites to win the Europa Conference League

FC Heidenheim – 16/1

FC Heidenheim are in European competition for the first time this season following an impressive debut campaign in the Bundesliga. Under the longest-serving head coach in German football history, Frank Schmidt, Heidenheim have risen from the fifth tier and finished eighth in the top division on their Bundesliga bow to seal a place in the Conference League.

Their season included a stunning upset of Bayern Munich, as the newly-promoted side recovered from two goals down to beat the German giants in April. Only Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen scored more set-piece goals than Heidenheim in Germany last season.

FC Copenhagen – 16/1

FC Copenhagen made an impression in Europe last season, having reached the Champions League’s knockout rounds ahead of Manchester United and Turkish champions Galatasaray. In the Europa Conference League this season, Jacob Neestrup’s side will hope to go deep into the tournament.

Ex-Borussia Dortmund midfielder Thomas Delaney joined the club in the summer, linking up with ex-Celtic and Southampton winger Mohamed Elyounoussi and teenage sensation Roony Bardghji.

Fiorentina – 11/2

Can Fiorentina go one better this season?

The Italian side have suffered the heartbreak of back-to-back Europa Conference League final defeats, losing the last two finals to West Ham and Olympiacos respectively.

Key figures in Nicolas Gonzalez and Nikola Milenkovic have moved on in the summer, though summer signings Albert Guðmundsson and Moise Kean have started the season positively. David de Gea has added vital experience in goal after joining La Viola as a free agent.

Real Betis – 4/1

Real Betis are regarded as second-favourites for the trophy. Spanish sides have dominated UEFA competitions across the past decade, winning 14 of the last 22 Champions League and Europa League finals.

The Europa Conference League is yet to be won by a La Liga outfit, however, but Betis are heavily backed to make an impression this season. Their summer business includes the arrival of Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham and loan signing of Barcelona forward Vitor Roque.

Chelsea – 15/8

Chelsea are the clear favourites for Europa Conference League success as the Blues aim to become the first team to have won each of UEFA’s current competitions.

Champions League winners as recently as 2021, the West Londoners have spent more than £1bn on new players since Todd Boehly’s arrival as owner in 2022. With finances that dwarf the rest of the competitions and a squad stacked with talent, Chelsea are favourites for a reason.
