Real Madrid and Barcelona are vying for the signature of Alan Godoy, the 21-year-old forward who plays for Eldense in La Liga 2, reports journalist Manu Amor.

Seeking a move away from his club during the ongoing winter transfer window, Godoy has caught the attention of both Real Madrid and Barça, who are keen on reinforcing their reserve team squads this month.

As such, both Spanish giants have already reached out to his representatives with attractive financial and sporting offers.

Although Godoy initially preferred to remain in La Liga 2, he is now seriously considering proposals from these two footballing powerhouses and has already turned down interest from several La Liga teams.

Optimism is higher at Valdebebas regarding his potential arrival, but Real Madrid are wary of a sudden twist, as Barcelona has also entered the race.

Real Madrid seek reinforcements for Castilla to avoid relegation

Real Madrid Castilla, under Raul Gonzalez, are in a precarious position this season, with the threat of relegation looming large.

As such, reinforcements are sought by the club both in the attacking unit and the defensive line, where they have lost players like Raul Asencio and Lorenzo Aguado to the first-team setup recently.

As such, Godoy has emerged as a possible target to reinforce the frontline in the Castilla squad, but Barcelona’s entry into the picture complicates matters.

This season, the 21-year-old has made 13 appearances for Eldense, primarily as a substitute with no goals to show for. Godoy is under contract with Eldense until 2027, but an exit is on the cards given his current situation.

With offers from both Real Madrid and Barcelona on the table, Godoy is weighing his options. As things stand, the Spanish capital club may have a slight edge, with them even being willing to pay a transfer fee to secure his services.
