One of the standout performers in the match was Brahim Diaz, who scored Real Madrid’s second and winning goal against Atletico Madrid.
Speaking after the match, he acknowledged the special feeling of scoring in such a crucial match. While pleased with his contribution, he remained focused on the bigger picture, knowing that the job is not done yet.
“A goal here is always something incredible because when you wear this shirt, you always have to give it your all.
“We played a complete game. My goal is enough but we still have to give it our all in the return leg,” he began saying.

Following Atletico’s equaliser, Real Madrid experienced a brief dip in confidence, but the second half saw them regain their rhythm and push for victory.
Brahim recognised that in high-stakes matches like this, any player could turn the game around at any moment, and Real Madrid once again demonstrated their ability to rise to the occasion.
“We were a little down, but in the second half, things changed. At any moment, one of us can mess things up and that has been proven. Another magical night at the Bernabeu.”

Despite the win, Brahim and his teammates are not getting carried away. He urged caution ahead of the return leg at the Metropolitano, reminding everyone that the tie is far from over.
While securing a home victory was important, Real Madrid are aware that Atletico will be a tough opponent on their own turf.
Brahim made it clear that full concentration will be needed in the second leg, as every detail could make the difference in the Champions League.
“Everything is still open; it is good to have won at home but a difficult match awaits us there.
“This is not over, the return leg remains and we have to give everything there. This is the Champions League and every little thing makes the difference,” he added.
