Real Madrid are always looking to rope in the best players in the world and the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick last summer served as the latest boost to the squad.
One player the club have been linked with extensively on that front is Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
The Norweigan international had two clubs in the final bidding when he opted to leave Borussia Dortmund in 2022 but chose the Premier League side over Real Madrid as he preferred to avoid competition with Karim Benzema.
Now, however, SPORT brings to light that a move is still on the cards if a few factors fall in place.
As relayed by the outlet, Real Madrid have not closed the door to Haaland’s signing and are keenly following his trajectory in England.

The player, for his part, has never ruled out the possibility of playing for the Merengues and continues to be open to the idea.
In fact, his current contract with City is said to even have a release clause for Real Madrid to pounce on.
Luring a player of Haaland’s quality away from Manchester City is easier said than done, but Los Blancos hope that the financial fair play investigations against Pep Guardiola’s side can come to their rescue.
Should the club be found guilty, the result of which is expected in the coming months, they will be forced to sell players and the doors to Haaland’s exit will thus open.
Florentino Perez thus has his eyes on the Norweigan star but a move will ultimately boil down to the transfer fee in question. If his price skyrockets either through City’s demands or competition, Real Madrid will back off.
